Blue Economy and Finance Forum (BEFF)
Participation in the organization of the Blue Economy and Finance Forum (BEFF ) in Monaco in 2025, a special event of the United Nations Ocean Conference, and for its 2026 edition.
The Forum brings together governments, financial institutions, international organizations and businesses to accelerate financing for ocean protection and the development of a sustainable blue economy.
July Advisory contributes to the follow-up of the initiatives presented during the Forum, as well as to the creation and animation of the program.
Ocean Compass
Development of the Ocean Compass tool, an educational program designed for players in the finance, insurance and corporate sectors, to help them understand the economic and financial issues linked to the ocean.
This interactive tool combines scientific content, economic analysis and financial projections to help organizations integrate ocean issues into their investment strategies and decisions.
Ocean Positive Metrics
July Advisory is supporting ORRAA, the World Economic Forum and Nature Positive Initiative (NPI) in the development of State of Nature metrics for the blue economy, to enable financial players to integrate marine ecosystem issues more effectively into their investment decisions.
In addition, July Advisory has carried out a comparative analysis of some 100 existing impact measurement frameworks in the blue economy, with a view to clarifying their use and facilitating their mobilization by investors. The aim of this work is to harmonize these approaches and propose benchmarks adapted to different use cases (sectors, types of investors, investment strategies).
UNU Ocean Institute
July Advisory is helping the United Nations University to structure and raise funds for the future Oceans and Coasts Institute, to be run by the UNU Paris Office.
This project aims to create an international institute dedicated to research, training and science-policy dialogue on ocean, coastal and sustainable blue economy issues.
